I'm sure this is common knowledge to most, but I'm a little int he dark.. I have a rectangular port tunnel ram that I'm putting on a BBC with AFR heads. Problem is the manifold has 8 bolts per side, but the heads are drilled for 6. I used the 6 bolt gasket, but when I fired the motor off I found big vacuum leaks at each of the 4 open bolt locations. Obviously the intake ports are open to the bolt holes.
What's the typical fix? I want something a little better than RTV in the hole, you know. I was thinking about removing the intake and filling each of the extra bolt holes int eh manifold with JB weld and flatten the bottom side. Thoughts?
