First timer w/ lots to learn...

Hi, I'm John from Fresno, Ca. I recently purchased a '74 Tahiti 18' Tiger with no engine, but a Berkeley pump. It had an Olds 455, but I'm a Pontiac guy, so it's getting Poncho Power! I scored a complete 455 w/ Nicson logs, front and rear mounts, a water pump (this confuses me? a W/P on a jet boat?), and Performer intake.

I'll probably as a lot of stupid questions, so bear with me :)
