These numbers came right off the ladder and from the second place down the ladder is WRONG. I can't believe 12 racers didn't question the ridiculous order of these numbers. How can under numbers be on top of over numbers. How come the over numbers don't go from lowest to the highest in order. The reason ALL of you should have questioned this is POINTS. You get points for your qualifying order. Too late now the race is in the books. It can't be corrected. I hope at the next race you guys and gals pay attention to your qualifying order

The first round saw Mike Beierle make an easy single pass into the second round by virtue of his number 1 qualifying effort and a odd number of boats.

Glendon Boehme from the great state of Texas dispatched Shawn Thomas in a double break out contest with a -14.05 on a 14.30 dial in and a much better reaction time.

The number three qualifier Don Blayney advanced to round two from a big ole red light from Harold Miller.

Keith Funk took out Keith Turley in a close first round encounter. Funk ran a 13.01 on a 12.85 dial in. Turley ran 15.16 on a 15.00 dial in. The difference was Funk's .183 reaction time to Turley's .287.

Scott Dolezal was the winner of a close first round race with Randy Melvin.

Two of the best from Texas battled it out in the first round. Ronald Jones nailed the best reaction time of the first round with a .040. This reaction time coupled with a 12.30 on a 12.21 dial in sent Andrew Decker home early. Decker ran a breakout -11.85 on a 12.30 dial in vain attempt to make up the difference of a .482 reaction time.

Sheridan Lindsay got the stripe first in his race with Kaylyn Mama Funk but broke out handing the win to Mama Funk.

The second round started with Mike Beierle beating Mama Funk The ladder handed the driver of Blackies Magic Glendon Boehme a single pass into the semi finals. Don Blayney tangled with Ronald Jones in a California vs Texas match up. Blayney from California took win. Scott Dolezal broke out running a 12.82 on a 12.84 dial in. with a .220 reaction time. Handing the win to his cousin Keith Funk. Funk ran a 13.21 on a 12.98 with a .297 reaction time.

The Ladder and some good racing provided the fans with an even number of boats in the semifinals.

Dave Blayney ousted the last boat from Texas by defeating Glendon Boehme. Blayney broke out with a -12.12 on a 12.22 dial in on a run initiated by a nice .060 reaction time. Boehme had a sickening -.004 red light and ran a 14.30 on a 14.06 dial in. Mike Beierle had the fast boat against Keith Funk in the semi's and crossed the finish line first but a red light at the start gave the win to Funk.

The Final was a great race. Funk left first and had the better reaction time .309 to Blayney's .495. Blayney had more horsepower and made a charge at the end but it was not enough. Funk crossed the finish line first while running a 13.09 on a 12.95 dial in. Blayney was second with a 12.19 on a 12.12 dial in.

Not only did Funk win the World Finals but he also clinched the Division One River Racer Tittle. Congratulations the Keith and Mama Funk and all the Funksters. Gawd you would not believe how many there are. I would not be able to list them all here.

Keith said at the awards ceremony and I quote “This one is for dad”
