I am trying to restore the gel on my boat. I have read that pledge will help put oils back into the gel to help it shine. My question is should I apply pledge for a while and then cut and polish or should I cut and polish then do the pledge? I cut and polished one side of the boat and it looked good, but didn't last long last summer. It dried back out and looks faded again. Any tips would be appreciated, even if I am way off on my methods.
