Its crunch time two days to get that holiday shopping wrapped up and we’ve got some ideas for the avid boater in your life. Here’s our top last minute gift picks:

1. Boat detailing. Everybody loves a sparkly clean boat and a gift certificate for this service would be awesome! We prefer the guy who’s mobile he comes straight to you no leaving your boat a risk or hauling it somewhere. We know an excellent guy and he also does interior work (shoot us a message if you want his number) but you can also call your local boat marina, repair shop or supply store they always offer the service or have a contact.

2. A boater’s gift basket. You can get together a basket of goodies such as boat wash, wax, nice glass cleaner, soft brushes and shammy’s and maybe an additional gift card for boating supplies, gas or their favorite restaurant on the lake.

3. A boater’s get away. This is for the person who knows their boater well. Make reservations at their favorite place to stay by the water and treat them to a night’s stay and meals. This could also be in gift basket form with snacks, gift cards or certificates. If you don’t know a place check out the Mount Dora Inn, there’s a hotel in downtown Tavares along the water to name some local lakes but you can google and find some amazing stays along most any shore. If you boater has a large vessel be sure to pick larger bodies of water or check out the ramp situation to make sure it’s deep and can accommodate their boat again not a problem just google it.

4. Last but not least the plain old gift card it’s not flashy but it works.

Bass Pro Shop gift cards is a great one we are not super fans of the bass fisherman due to experience, but the store has wonderful boating supplies from state of the art GPS systems, seats, anchors, lines, life jackets, hitches, stereo systems you name it they’ve got it. Other alternatives would be local marinas, boating supply shops and even Walmart carries boating supplies. Here locally there’s West Marine but again a quick click of the buttons on the computer and you can find your local vendors.

We hope your family enjoys a very Merry Christmas and maybe this helps with the last minute gift crunch and that you treat your boater to many more Adventures in boating.

P.S. Boater’s feel free to pass on this blog for gift ideas for you. ;)
