Will the 8 1/2" dia. Imco side gunnel gas tanks fit into a '78 Sanger Ski Hydro?. Imco tanks are 8 1/2" diameter, the existing tanks are 7" dia.
On the new tanks, the filler neck is offset 2 1/2" from centerline. The filler neck on the existing tanks come up to the bottom of the gas tank cap neck, so the location of the filler neck on the new tank would have to be 'right on'.
The other possible location for the filler neck would be horizontal at the top of the front end cap. Then the tank would be connected with an 'L-shape 2" dia. flex fuel hose to the gas cap. This set-up would allow for some flex between the tank and the gas cap.
Any suggestions?
