Ignition Digital 6AL Plus or 7AL3

If you have the choice which would be best for my application. Bigger is not always better I believe. 13.5 :1 Comp, 505 BBC, Billet Dist, Single Stage Nitrous. I need a start retard and one stage retard for nitrous. I like the dial features of the 6. 7 obviously has more spark energy, I do not need 4 stages of retard and 3 rpm limits, plus modules seem to be a hassle. Is a 6 sufficient spark energy or would I be better with a 7 series.
