The weather has been warm for the most part but we’re having a few chilly days too. This weekend the forecast calls for the 70’s and that’s perfect weather for an outdoor boat show. Take a drive over to the Daytona International Boat Show at the Daytona Speedway. This weekend January 9, 10 and 11 th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily the show will take place admission and parking is free. The weather will be perfect for walking around and checking out the newest boats, gear and services offered to boaters. If you share the gift of gab (like I do) it can also be a great place to talk to vendors and learn about boating clubs and events. Waterside marinas and restaurants are there sharing their locations and services. If you like to keep your vessel clean and shiny you’ll find the latest products for that too.
If you’re a true newbie to boating this is a great place to look at all the boats and speak with their manufactures’ directly in one spot. You can go aboard and see what’s offered and which boat would be the best fit for you. Newer model boats are made to convert and meet the needs of family boating, skiing and fishing all with moving a few pieces around, it’s amazing the new features you can find. If you’d like to venture into the world of boating and are not handy with your own engine work or fixing up interiors a new boat is the way to go. Many boat dealers offer assistance on how to operate their boats and you can strike a deal for a few lessons on driving your new boat.
