Edelbrock heads rectangular or oval

Starting the slow process of building my 502 MPI in the off-season. I was planning on going from to a 509 with 741 cam and CMI exhaust. I have a possible deal working on some Edelbrock heads. I want to stay around 9:1 compression. Which is the better head for my application. Rectangular or oval.

My boat is a Conquest 28ft Top Cat deck boat.
