  Sweet Spring Break 03/25/2015 0 Comments We’ve been making the most of spring break it has been delightful to spend time as a family and boat the days away. We are just your average hard working family and taking big vacations away from home are not always possible that’s why we love our boat because we can enjoy a vacay day anytime we want. A tank of gas, cooler of drinks and lunch and we’re all set! Last Friday we went over to Tavares to check out the boats for the vintage boat races we got to see them in action and meet a lot of nice folks here participating in the races. Sunday we made our way back and enjoyed watching the races, visiting the pits and the beautiful weather hanging out on the shoreline and running along the lake. We tried lunch from the Sand Bar right along the water’s edge in Tavares. It’s mostly an outdoor bar with a few picnic tables along the lake and really good BBQ. The food was affordable and there was a great band too. We’d visit again. Tuesday the boys met up with some family over on the Clermont chains and had a great visit. The water levels are really up so if you haven’t checked out this lake it’s a good time to go. Lunch at the Tiki Bar was great and you can now tie up at the docks as the water is back to normal. We heard a rumor that the City of Clermont has plans to revitalize their waterfront with splash parks, restaurants and more that would be wonderful! We love to hear about all the growth on small town waterfronts we’ll be checking this out. Today it was a nice afternoon float and dip at the local lake, Stake Lake. We’ve been making the most of our break and getting in all the boating time we can if only we could get paid for it we’d do it every day! I hope everyone out there is using their boat and getting the most out of your piece of floating relaxation. The weeks not over yet and if there’s a chance to get back out there we’ll probably take it.
