Edelbrock TRX2 tunnel ram
Dual Holley 4160 w/ sec plate kits (68 pri, 70 sec)
MSD ProBillet distributor(w/ brand new pickup)
MSD 6al digital (6k rpm limit)
MSD Blaster2 coil
setup in a Nordic jetboat, B impeller
Symptoms:
off the trailer, idle out of cove, lightly accel up off of plane and cruise at ~3-3500 smoothly. Hammer down motor will spin up to 47-4800 an stay, power feels ok, but not what would expect. If you hold it there at WOT it will slowly start dropping revs and begin to break up. Back off and it will collect itself and cruise again. Longer you run the motor the worse it gets, to the point it wont even pull 4500 smoothly, and cruising at 3-3500 motor doesnt sound 'collected', a little rough. Is still very responsive, but will only take the first hit of throttle strongly them immediately go to breaking up.
Very confused, looking for and would greatly appreciate some advice. We've chased fuel(going rich to point of gagging it) and ignition(all brand new components aside from distributor itself,box and coil have their own dedicated grounds to battery) with making no difference.
