Pontoon shopping

I have owned numerous boats over the years(southwind,scarab,placecraft,domen8er) and still own a blown flat, during this off season i have decided to start shopping for my next boat and i am considering making the jump to a pontoon boat this year. There are alot of reasons for this change but the biggest is that the family just got bigger and with nieces and nephews i think it makes the most sense. As we know the world works on compromise and im thinking that mine would be a playcraft powertoon with either a 496 or a 250 or 300 outboard. Im wondering what everyone thinks about them. I have never ridden in one so i truly have no idea about pontoons so my ears are open
