Hydraulics

I know there are a lot of smart folks on here so I figured I would ask this question, it meybe better off in the v-drive section.

I was thinking of solid mounting 1.5"id x 6"stroke hydraulic cylinder (master cylinder) to the stringer and using a bump stop on the cav plate rod to activate the master, so that when the peddle is pressed and the cav rod moves forward the bump stop engages the master. The slave cylender ( 1" x 4" place diverted hydraulic cylinder) will also be attached to the stringer an will be attached to the cav plate rod so that it assists in pushing to rod forward by receiving fluid via the master.

I have very little experience with hydraulics other than changing hoses and repacking rams. Is there certain combos of sizes that I need to have in order for this to give an assist and lower the pressure required by the left leg.
