Hey fellas looking for a educated opinion .Ive drag raced and hot rodded cars for years .I also know things are a Little different with the boats .my question is what kind of compression ratio is good for a high performance N/A lake boat. I'm currnetly planning on running a MoPar super stock motor that I ran in my old coronet .its a 440 with billet crank , h beam rods , dome Ross pistons , Indy SR heads with 75 cc chambers . compression is 13.5 .motor made 750 on a cross ram with two 750s .I planned on using a thicker head gasket to knock some of the compression down .also I want to run airplane gas or pump gas maybe even e85. I know on a street car I would keep it 11 and under but people tend to say you can run a little more in boats .
